Altru is a small online company who's focus is on spreading God's word through everyday life by helping those in need. Just like a compass we want to help guide others towards the truth of Jesus Christ and to help others
as he would.

Through the manufacturing and sales of this product the goal is to make a positive and lasting impact on everyone who comes in contact. Starting with the manufacturing phase, materials are bought from local farmers and are Fair Trade Certified. From there manufacturing centers are set up in more rural/suburban areas to provide job opportunities for those unable to travel to job-rich areas. The workers here are also paid according to the Fair Labor Association standards. While in the manufacturing centers, t-shirts have pockets that are designed to represent the location from which it originated and that it is supporting. These designs are mades and purchased from local designers/artists. Once the t-shirts are finished they are sent to a storage center where they await to be bought through the online store.

Every purchase and/or donation on here goes back to help the community from which it originated. As the customer you can chose to help the areas through education, water supply, food stability, etc.

This project was a personal assignment. The idea started when my Church was working to raise money for goats for their annual trip to Haiti. They give pairs of goats out to families to help those families have a source of income. Using this concept I began researching developing countries and issues within developing countries. I decided to go with t-shirts as a product because of the high demand and popularity of t-shirts in today's society. But the big question that need to be answered was how it will be different from other t-shirt companies. The verse I wanted to focus on with this t-shirt company was Proverbs 3:27, "Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act."
